Addressed to: Europees Parlement en Nederlandse EU-delegatie
The EU AI Act was the first serious weapon against uncontrolled AI. Less than a year later, it's already being gutted. The Digital Omnibus package of November 2025 eliminated the registration requirement for dangerous AI systems in one stroke. The tech lobby spent 151 million euros in two years to make this happen. We demand: - Registration of high-risk AI remains MANDATORY, no exceptions - All lobbying meetings between the European Commission and Big Tech are made public - Member states get the authority to be stricter than the minimum floor - No self-classification: companies don't get to decide whether their own AI is "safe" - No exceptions for frontier labs — Anthropic, OpenAI and Google must follow the law like everyone else This is not a technical story. This is a democracy story. If the tech lobby can rewrite the law before the ink is dry, then we as citizens have no say left.
